Hike Andrian-Hocheppan-Andrian

Easy to moderately difficult hike through beautiful mixed deciduous forest.

Starting point of the hike is the village square in Andrian. First walk up Via Bottai in the direction of Festenstein. After about 400 m, turn left into Via Kripp and enter the forest between houses on Via Hocheppan. Trail no. 2 leads sometimes steeper, sometimes more level past the chalk tower to the Hocheppan castle. From here, the views to Bolzano and Sciliar are truly beautiful. After a restful break in the castle tavern and a visit to the historically valuable frescoes in the castle chapel, you return to Andriano along the same route
