A traditional inn on the South Tyrolean Wine Road
The guest house and restaurant Schwarzer Adler has been run by the Mathà family in a traditional manner since 1896. Hearty South Tyrolean delicacies are served in rooms steeped in history, such as the wood-panelled parlour, or in the cosy garden under grape vines.
In spring you are served wild garlic and asparagus specialities, in summer, you may savour fresh and delicious summer dishes. In autumn, the traditional Törggelen delicacies are served: bread dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen, barley soup, slaughter plate and sauerkraut. All dishes are accompanied by the wines from the Andriano winery and the surrounding area – served with grace, of course.

Tasty and crispy pizzas, traditionally baked in a wood-fired oven, accompanied by a cool beer on draught. The Pizzeria Mühlbach is located on the edge of the forest above Andriano and has a big garden terrace. A nice place which is cooled by the forest on hot summer days and where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Etsch Valley as far as the distant Rosengarten mountain range.

In the midst of vineyards sits the new “Weger” farmhouse inn with its beautiful garden and a great view of Hocheppan Castle. Harald, the owner of the inn, is a cook, innkeeper and farmer all in one and serves you an excellent homegrown wine, self-made juices and the best Bavarian beer with his South Tyrolean delicacies, such as “Erdepflblattlen and Kraut”, goulash with dumplings, a delicious sweet “Kaiserschmarren” and much more – according to season.
