Hocheppan Castle
Hocheppan Castle is one of the most important fortresses in South Tyrol. It is located in the Missiano part of the municipality of Appiano and can be reached directly from Andriano via hiking trail no. 2.
In the courtyard there is a castle chapel, also called the “Sistine Chapel of the Alps” with beautiful Romanesque frescoes. The castle is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. (closed on Wednesdays).
