The Dolomites High Route no. 10

The Dolomites High Route no. 10 starts in Bolzano and ends in Gardone Riviera on Lake Garda. The route leads through mountainous areas to the west of Val d’Adige.

Stage 1: Bolzano – Andriano:

This first stretch can also be comfortably covered by bus, train or taxi. The real hike starts in Andriano.

Stage 2: Andriano – Predonico:
This stage takes about 2.5 hours and leads to the hamlet of Predonico. Starting point of the hike is the village square in Andriano. First walk up Via Bottai in the direction of Castelforte. After about 400 m, turn left into Via Kripp and enter the forest between houses on Via Hocheppan. The marked trail (mark 2) leads sometimes steeper, sometimes more level past the chalk tower to Castel d’Appiano. From here, the views to Bolzano and Sciliar are truly beautiful. The hike continues on hiking trail no. 12 to Predonico.
