Andriano Winery
The oldest winery cooperative of South Tyrol
In 1893, the wine farmers of Andriano joined forces and founded the first winery cooperative of the Austrian-Hungarian Danube monarchy. 115 years later, in 2008, they took a further landmark decision and teamed up with the prestigious winery of Terlano. Today, the strengths of both wineries are synergised yet clearly separated. The winery of Andriano has high storage capacity and was one of the first wineries to barrique-age for instance the Lagrein variety of grape – a historic achievement. On the basis of strict quality criteria and the strong focus on the terroir idea, the winery of Andriano developed further and further. Today, it looks ahead with confidence and may be proud of its own identity and quality originating from a unique, lime-dominated terroir, the marvellous morning sun, fresh fall winds and grape varieties that find ideal conditions here. You can taste this from the wine of Andriano which is thus clearly recognisable.
